ABOUT THE TOUCAN TEAM
We are a small family owned & operated business. Consisting of Sam (Auto Technician), JoLeen (Office Manager), Brad (Auto Technician), Tanner (Auto Technician), Josh (Service Writer, Tech Assistant) and Hank, Dolly & Vern (the greeting committee).
SAM
Sam and his wife JoLeen are the parents of 4 children. Matthew and wife Desi and their 3 daughters Ellie, Nora and Syanna of Evanston, WY. Isaac and wife Lindsay and daughters Laylah and Jaylee of Baltic, MI. Bradley of Atlantic Mine, MI., and Emma and her husband Tanner of Atlantic Mine, MI.
Sam has been in business of his own since 2002 but has been a mechanic since 1989. Sam will work on basically anything and everything. In the 30+ years that he has been repairing vehicles, it does not matter who the auto manufacturer is, Sam has the knowledge and experience and equipment to do it all. Sam worked the business for 12 years on his own until his wife and son joined his team. He is a 20 year volunteer member of the Adams Township fire and First Responders.
Sam enjoys camping, traveling, off-roading, hunting, and spending quality time with his family and friends.
JOLEEN
With the growing demand of the business, JoLeen came aboard in 2014 full time. Prior to she worked for a local accounting firm until their third child was born then, she was at home raising their 4 children and worked as an aide at the local Elementary School.
JoLeen and Sam reside in Atlantic Mine, MI. She enjoys camping, traveling, off-roading, hunting, reading, crafting, gardening and spending quality time with her family and special friends.
JoLeen takes care of the daily aspects of the business while Sam and the crew do the repairs. She is a face you will see as soon as you step foot in the door. She not only handles office work, but understands what needs to be done.
BRAD
Brad Jenkins joined our team in February of 2020. He is a resident of Atlantic Mine, MI. Brad was born and raised in Painesdale and is the son of Sam and JoLeen. Brad is a Michigan Certified Mechanic and specializes in the areas of steering, suspension, brakes, recreational trailers and BAIID ignition interlocks. He will be one of the voices you hear when you call or the faces you see when you visit as he is very fluent in all aspects of the business. Brad enjoys snowmobiling, 4-wheeling, hunting, camping and gaming.
Tanner
Tanner joined our team in April of 2025. He is our favorite son in law and husband of our daughter Emma. They reside in Atlantic Mine, MI with their fur babies Hank, Lizzy and Muffin. Tanner specializes in tires, steering and suspension and assists Sam and Brad out in the shop. Tanner has grown in all aspects on the shop floor and is working to specialize himself in other areas. We are excited about his growth within himself and our company. He enjoys the outdoors, camping, gaming and spending quality time with his families.
josh
Josh joined our team in March of 2026. He is not our blood but he is our family. He has two beautiful daughters, Abbie and Madelyn - also known as our borrowed granddaughters. Josh and his daughter Madelyn reside in South Range, MI with their fur babies Chip, Dale and Jeff. Josh specializes in tires, steering and suspension and brakes, and assists JoLeen in the front office as well as the boys on the shop floor. He enjoys the outdoors, camping, traveling and spending quality time with us and his two girls.
